I even have my Rapidograph .13mm pen, which is now well over 30 years old. We had to learn how to typeset as well – I even used to dream about typesetting!

My Alan began on a local paper here in Devon. He was an apprentice Linotype setter. He won a prize for fastest apprentice in UK. After National Service he moved on to journalism.

I have a set of these. My late partner was a “Times” sub.mhe was fussy about his pens too.mmine are for drawing.
I gave myself a couple of accidental tattoos with my Rotring. Had one removed as it was on my face but the ones on my hands are still there!
