The first motorbike my husband and I rode together was a 2016 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special.

In 2020 we traded that in and bought a 2019 Harley-Davidson Street Glide CVO. This bike was gorgeous. CVOs have no ‘Harley Davidson’ anywhere, just a blank bar and shield, and the colour was a metallic almost-black deep maroon (the colour was Black Forest). It had been in the showroom for over a year, so we bought it at a nice discount.

Three weeks ago, my husband bought this one, a 2026 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Limited.

I didn’t want to sell our CVO because I really adored it. I also did not want a seat, for the same reason I prefer to drive a manual car. I like the feeling of actively driving a car and I like the feeling of being pillion with just a small backrest. However, the second I got into that seat, I fell in love. It was so stable and comfy with little armrests. This motorcycle has seat warmers on both seats, which may mean a longer riding season. In addition to the side boxes, it has a box on the back. We have just come back from a 1500km road trip on the CVO, and I realise now that this will make long rides more comfortable for me.
I don’t make Harley-Davidson money, so I am just glad I get to tag along. I contributed something to the CVO because I had just sold my house when we got it. Nowadays, I could maybe afford a bicycle!

Love HD. We had a 1993 Heritage. We rode that bike all over California. The color scheme was SF Giants orange & black. I miss it…😩
May you continue to enjoy the bike rides with your husband for years to come. Janet you look good on both the Harley’s (the CVO and the new 2026 Street Glide) so I hope to see pics from next years street ride.
