Traveler’s Notebook inserts and charms

Here I have

  • 2 of my many Yellow Paper House (Etsy) neon tiny grid notebooks,
  • 3 Midori (now renamed Traveller’s Company but I way prefer the name Midori) Lightweight notebooks (I am addicted to the paper. It is the closest thing to Tomoe River paper they stock)
  • 2 Midori Brass rulers/paperclips/stencils
  • 2016 Midori vertical week on two pages calendar

Here I have charms and a pen from Diane at Strawberry Notebook on Etsy who has made most of the traveler’s notebooks that I own.

  1. Hey Janet, just to give you a heads-up on the “light-weight” 013 inserts – the long mystery as to where Midori gets its paper for the 013 is now solved. Traveler’s Company recently admitted the paper they use for the 013 is Tomoe River – ending years of speculation.

So, the 013 paper isn’t “just like” Tomoe River, it IS Tomoe River paper… 🙂

    1. Thanks for that Bill! Interestingly then, there may be different types of Tomoe River paper. I have a Hobonichi and a Nanami Seven Seas and the Tomoe River in them is glossy and much thinner than the 013 BUT they are a bit too thin for me so I actually prefer the Midori 013. I noticed an online retailer advertising the 013 as Tomoe River paper a few weeks ago and we were all up in arms about it – but maybe they were right!
