AWNL talisman jewellery with a modern touch

I have written a great deal about Nordic jewellery design – Bjørg, Efva Attling, Ole Lynggaard, Pilgrim, Line § Jo, By Birdie, Kinz Kanaan and many more. Nordic jewellery design runs the gamut from the very minimal sleek Scandi style of Georg Jensen to the more dark gothic, detailed style of Maria Nilsdotter.

One brand I have never tried is AWNL talisman jewellery. They have different collections but I have been fascinated by the meteorite jewellery for a long time. They create jewellery using meteorite, rune symbols and cubic zirconia. I am not a believer in energy or talismans but I really love the history behind all the symbols and talismans of Scandinavia. These symbols and talismans were incredibly important in ancient times and are extremely significant historically.

I was contacted by AWNL a couple of weeks back and asked if I would like to try some of their jewellery. I very seldom do collaborations, for the same reason that I don’t advertise or do sponsored posts. I want to remain objective, true to what I like and don’t, and I consider my readers my friends. But in this case I said yes, because it is the kind of thing I would wear. For me it is a chance to showcase a brand I have never tried and I really appreciate their generosity.

So look out for a blog post tomorrow about what I chose. I really like it!
