I bought two Robert Galbraith books because the storylines sounded good and because the name seemed familiar. It was only after I had started reading that I realised it was JK Rowling. As books it was very enjoyable, if somewhat of a slow burn. I enjoyed Troubled Blood. I do have mixed feelings about JK Rowling, however. She has a right to her opinion and some of her less virulent views do make sense. But I can’t look past some of the awful things she has said about trans people purely to make her point.
I have never read Patricia Cornwall before (or Elizabeth George for that matter), so I thought it was time I tried one. If I do like this one, I will have a lot of catching up to do.
The Ann Cleeves is the third Matthew Venn novel, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I will be reading the next one as soon as I can.
I also have the third Jake Jackson novel by Stig Abell on the go, though I will be waiting a while to finish because I battled to get into this one.
The new Michael Connelly book was very enjoyable. Both Bosch and Ballard made appearances in this one. Bosch had a couple of mentions and a cameo but it was nice to see him mentioned.
