This is something I have pondered many times, and would be interested to see if there is a particular reason our alphabet is in the order it is.
Numerical order one can understand, because there is ascending value assigned to each number. You can also understand the logic of the QWERTY keyboard. But the alphabetical order has no such value. And it would be just as easy to say ELCY than ABC. You just need to learn it.
Swedish for example, has three extra letters – å, ä, ö – and they are added to the end of the alphabet.
