Bargain bin finds

I sometimes have gaps in my schedule between lessons so I take walks in nearby parks or sit at a cafe and work. It was raining one day this past week so I went to one of my favourite second hand stores and had a rummage in their bargain bin. I found two necklaces and a handbag.

The necklaces cost $1 each and will be so nice to wear in the summer.

These are little glass flowers which will look nice with my more summery shirts.

This is by Cador and is 18K gold plated. It has a fascinating clasp which is very easy to open and close. You press on the little notch and the loop shoots out to the side. I love the old fashioned initial on it.

This rather battered bag was $5 and I loved the cassette tape on it (which is raised). They were my thing – mixed tapes, car tapes, my teenage portable cassette player. It is also a very good size. I am looking forward to giving it some love and attention and using it when I downsize over summer.

This is what it looked like after the first clean and condition
