I don’t often include my family in my blog posts because I would like to respect their privacy. But this photograph is too good not to share. It was taken by my bonus sister Chris in the garden of Mom’s house, with our dear friend Jack.
Momsie has been living in this house since the 1960s. She raised five children (6 with me) in that house, and when I look back, I consider this the house I grew up in, even though I lived with my parents until they died when I was a teenager. Momsie taught me how to love and look after animals. She taught me patience and kindness, and I loved living in a huge old house full of pets, kids, chaos and laughter.
Momsie turned 91 yesterday. I hate being so far away from her on days like this. She had chocolate and vanilla cake and friends over for tea.
Momsie still works, She runs a property company (at 91!) ,and has staff to organise, and the taxman to deal with, I look up to her so much.
I Love you Momsie. Thank you for taking me in, for giving me a home and siblings.

What a beautiful pist. Thank you for sharing.
