This is a stunning example of a vintage ostrich Filofax. I have written about several ‘generations’ of ostrich binders before, here but I have never seen one like this before.
The quill on it is beautiful. Full-quill ostrich leather is the most expensive and the most sought after. Dense, uniform and defined quills are the ultimate in quality and luxury.
The British Filofax System was registered in the US in 1987, and these binders had rings matching the colour of the binder. It is very seldom you see these, and this one even has a serial number on it.
I want to say a huge thank you to the very generous Courtney McGregor for allowing me to feature her beautiful binder in my blog. All photos belong to Courtney. Thank you Courtney!
