These candlesticks were really striking in real life. I wish I knew someone whose decor they would suit. Nordic interiors are very minimal but sometimes this kind of detail really makes things pop.
When I spotted these pins, it reminded me of my kilt pins when I was young. I had a Scottish grandmother, plus it was very much the style way back when. I have not seen a kilt pin in ages. I wonder where you would pin these? You don’t see nappy pins either these days.

One of our local lions has gained a pink tongue. They do sometimes, courtesy of our local street artist, Arrow Street Art. These additions are removable, and it is rather fun to spot them around town. .

I have taken to wearing a kilt in hot weather (actually, a wrap over pleated skirt, with the closure swapped over: have you seen the price of a real kilt ..?); more comfortable than trousers. So I have kilt pins, and had to pop in to John Lewis’s haberdashery to pick one up when I forgot to fit one after washing…
