In 1999 I used to work in the area and used to go to this secondhand shop. I had not been back until a few days ago. It was strange for my old self to be walking into a shop I last visited in my thirties. I bought a purple handbag here that I used for an entire summer in Ireland.

This chair was in a charity shop – it looked like something from the 60s or 70s when the fashion was ‘futuristic’ in a direction the future never actually went.

I saw these jeans in a local mall and they reminded me so much of jeans I had in the 1980s with roses all over them.

Desigual has these jeans in-store at the moment. I used to wear something similar in the 1970s. My mother absolutely hated them. It’s funny what kind of things remind me of my teenage years. They aren’t the things I thought would end up being memories.

I saw this tiny flower on the asphalt. It was so perfectly formed.
