Montblanc Small Organiser – Red

photo

Here is my (as yet unused) Montblanc Small Organiser.

It takes Filofax Pocket refills, and, like all Montblanc items is extremely well made. The leather is wonderful and the polishing dust cloth is a nice touch. It should wear beautifully and last a lifetime if the notebook I have from the same series is anything to go by. From what I remember, this range came in tan, dull yellow, red and dark brown – all with contrast stitching.

The binder – like many highly priced products – is not as functional as it could be but is no worse than any others out there. The pen holder is beautiful and there are some nice credit card slots at the front and a secretarial pocket at the back. I also like the fact that the rings are leather-covered.

I have never used this one but have kept it because of its beauty. It is really a gorgeous binder.

    what functions do you miss?
I got one in Personal size, the Mocca way, and it is so exclusive, I almost fear to use it 🙂 And I got the feeling, something is missing, but I am not sure what… One loop for my mechanical pencil ? Zippered pocket? Well, I am not sure what function I miss…

    1. Mm yes, as you say, there is a feeling that something is missing. I think it would be a zippered pocket, a full length back pocket (common in pocket organizers) and more credit card slots. But then again, not everyone uses them as wallets so perhaps the minimal styling is what makes it so attractive?
