I found this absolutely beautiful pocket Tejus at a flea market a couple of years ago. The colour was brilliant and it was brand, spanking new. I like to ‘rescue’ old planners that are being thrown out when digitalisation continues its relentless march through the small pockets of analogue users still remaining.
I love this planner. Tejus leather is gorgeous and very robust. The size is perfect and compact, it does not have any extraneous pockets or flaps, and the rings are small. The colour is amazing. I love the little popper on the clasp.
Size comparison with the Belmont

What I don’t love so much is that this Tejus has only four rings, so not all inserts or accessories fit. I am not sure whether they were alway 4-ringed or if this is an older model binder. These are exchangeable rings so i could swap them out but I would like to keep this binder original.

What a lovely emerald colour. 💚
Your Tejus Pocket 4-ring is the second incarnation of the Pocket, introduced in 1992. This had a new pocket layout compared with the original P5, and rings increased from 11mm (7/16″) to 16mm. The date code on the inside of the strap should end in D (1992) or E (1993).
The 6-ring version was introduced in 1994, with no other changes (although the catalogue said it was a bit wider, my examples are the same size). The Tejus vanished from the catalogues in 1996.
There was also a Tejus Pocket Purse, introduced mid-1994, which had a zip pocket on the outside of the back. That was in the 1996 catalogue, but gone by 1998. Bouteia may have some in stock; I ordered one, but they sent a 6-ring Tejus instead, which I preferred…
Nifty, of Notebook Stories, recently wrote a five-part history of the early Filofax Pocket, and later Pocket Slim models:

Thank you so much for this!!!
Gorgeous binder! Love that green. Nothing more fun than stumbling on a find like that.
That is lovely. Is the leather tooled, or is that the natural grain – and is so, do you know what animal?
DOH! I zoomed in, and I see it’s calf – so grained !
This is a gorgeous ring binder! The colour is original too. This is one thing that stops me from using a ring binder: the rings are already quite chunky but if you add extra pockets and a chunky closure, it’s not really worth it if you only have a handful of pages. This is the reason why I’m more partial to traveler’s notebooks. They keep things slim and you can add chunkiness if you need but at least you start with something slim. That being said, I love that green planner! Very nice!
