We went to the south of Sweden for a week on the bike. The dry bag shown in these photos was the only luggage we took for both of us for a week. The boxes on the side held raingear, extra gloves and Coke Zero, so everything we took fitted in this dry bag.

I am not a huge overpacker, but I always end a trip running out of some things and having too many of others. For this trip I packed the following (which took up half the dry bag above. My husband used the other half)
- three pairs of jeans (we spent days going back and forth on the bike so a skirt or dress would have been practical)
- beige ballet flats
- hoodie
- six t shirts
- six tank tops (I always wear them under my shirts)
- 10 pairs of panties
- 6 pairs of socks
- 5 bras
- one cardigan
- travel sizes of my toiletries – more on that later.
- uniqlo black sling bag, which I could wear while on the bike (see above photo)

Impressive!
I used to go camping a lot in my teens so learned what not to pack too many of as everything had to fit in a backpack and be light enough to carry for long distances. I really admire you for doing the same for bike trips, do you have 2 bikes (one each) for trips like this or do you sit pillion on your husband’s bike for half the trip and front for the other half?
I am always pillion. I love feeling like a dog with its head out the car window!
That is amazing! I’m absolutely obsessed with trying to pack light because I always end up bringing too much. And what a coincidence! I’m obsessing to the maximum with this Uniqlo bag. I remember that you had it stitched with a very cute motive. Even though the summer is almost over, I’m looking for a summer one and I’m thinking about a light pink coloured one. That would be my very first summer bag… I have one from the Keith Haring collection that they had last year. Such an incredible bag!
The Uniqlo sling has really surprised me with how useful it is. It fit everything I needed close by for a week away, including my planner, and was very comfortable to wear – even on a long bike ride. I love my little cat embroidery. I am taking one to a cousin in South Africa in January, also with cat embroidery (to match her cat). I am looking at getting one of the Marimekko ones for myself.
I have never been an over-packer but I always run out of one thing and have too many of another. This time I should have packed an extra pair of jeans and a jumper and left out two of the t-shirts. The problem is, you never know what the weather will be like. It often turns unexpectedly cold or hot and I have not prepared well enough for that. There is a very interesting Reddit sub called HerOneBag which I find soooo inspirational when it comes to cutting down.
Oh! this is really good! I will need to check that Reddit sub. When we went to England in June, we tried only packing one bag because we were going there for a few days (less than a week) and it worked out so well! I streamlined everything. I also want to streamline everything at home too!
I am forever crushing on the Uniqlo bags… Unfortunately, I live too far from a physical shop to have my bag embroidered otherwise, I would do it. They don’t offer it online, unfortunately!…
I am not sure all Uniqlo stores offer embroidery either. We have a big one so I guess I am really lucky in that respect!
