Bicolour cat markings by Sarah Hartwell

I love this site which gives very pedagogical information on bicolour cats – what the different patterns are called and how they are formed in the womb. I have always had tuxedo cats. At the moment we have two tuxedos and a mask-and-mantle.  I had never seen an explanation of the more exotic and rare colourings, and it taught me a lot. Thank you so much Sarah, to whom all these photos belong.

  1. My cat Minou, is almost completely black. She has a tiny white spot on her chest and a bigger white spot in her bikini area. I still consider her as a completely black cat. How interesting that you say that you always had Tuxedo cats. I’ve always had black cats. I don’t think I would willingly get a non-black cat, unless I have been chosen by the Cat Distribution Program! 😉
