Having visited the 9/11 memorial in New York, I saw a lot of mashed up steel but the glass struck me as amazing because nothing as fragile should have survived the temperatures intact.
I think I would probably burst into tears if I saw that window or anything that was left from 9/11. It felt completely surreal. I remember that everyone around me was freaking out around me and I don’t think it hit me until I arrived home and saw the images on TV…
As for the diving team picture, it’s probably one of the best pictures I’ve ever seen! So priceless!
