Yesterday

I had one of those days yesterday where I was working in the city all day but I had time between lessons. It was cold and icy but the sun was shining and it had stopped snowing so I could wander around enjoying the sunshine.

Our cats would kill this very expensive blow-up armchair in minutes

This handbag was a lamp, strangely enough. Unless it looks spectacular lit up, I am not sure of the appeal

This restaurant is really pushing the Viking theme for the tourists. Being a Viking was an occupation rather than an ethnic group, and Vikings never had horns on their helmets. Despite this, tourist shops are full of horned helmets.

You can also see a postal delivery bicycle in the photo. They have winter tyres to cope with the ice, and the  post has to be delivered even in extremely low temperatures. There is a negotiated limit in certain areas of Sweden where post is not delivered if it is colder than -38°C/-36.4°F

Mårten Trotzigs gränd is an alley in the old town of Stockholm, Sweden. It is the narrowest street in Stockholm at 90 cm/35in wide.
