Black Friday

Black Friday is the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States (the fourth Thursday of November). Since 1932, it has been regarded as the beginning of the Christmas shopping season in the U.S., and most major retailers open very early (and more recently during overnight hours) and offer promotional sales.(Wikipedia)

As it has spread around the world, the texts/emails/newspaper ads/store signage/posters/campaigns have ballooned to epic proportions. As I wearily gaze at the gazillionth email I have received over the past week, I want to say…

  1. Hahaha! So true! I decided not to shop anything… And today my el-adventsljusstake kicked the dust. Aaaand ryggskott… *sigh* I guess I’ll have to buy a new one for full price tomorrow.

    But yes, so true about Sweden and darkness. That’s part of why I love snow!
