Hello snow!

Yep, it’s that time of year again…a little early for most motorists, who have not put their snow tyres on yet (it is only mandatory from 1 December), but it lightens up the darkness a bit. Behind me is frozen Mälaren, the second biggest lake in Sweden.

Yesterday was only the third time in 19 years in Sweden that I battled to get to and from work. The ice and snow were too much for the buses so I had to walk home in the snow. It is the most snow Sweden has had in November in 111 years! Some people were trapped for up to 14 hours on the highways where trucks had skidded and overturned.
