3 Painted Traveler’s Notebooks from Monique Vanmeulebrouk

I ordered these in July as a birthday present to myself and they arrived this morning just before I left for work. I was delighted because I work in a high security environment and cannot received parcels at work, which means that there is often no one at home when a parcel arrives and I have to wait days to collect it from the post office. But for once time was on my side!

I had to wait to open the parcel until I got home but it was a good wait. Ooh the anticipation!

Beautifully packaged. Fluffy my cat got at the corner as soon as I put it down but thanks to the secure packaging, nothing was damaged.

Wonderful little card from Monique

This was a total surprise, and a very welcome one. I had been kicking myself for not ordering a pencil case when I did my big order. But Monique had included one as a gift to make up for the delay in getting my order completed. I was absolutely thrilled. And I did not mind the delay at all.

And of course one of my photos would not be complete without a Fluffy Photobomb!

What you cannot see in the photographs is that the leather is absolutely beautiful. I asked for 3mm leather which is still light and flexible but is quite solid. The painted effect is gold metallic which is absolutely beautiful. It really adds to the stormy atmosphere.

I cannot thank Monique enough for the wonderful wonderful covers. The photo I had sent her meant a lot to me and she has really done it justice. I am so very happy.

I will show the setup of the books in a separate post over the weekend.

  • In the A4 I will have two Marimekko or two Burde books as well as Monique’s refill
  • In the A5 I will have two Burde notebooks and Monique’s refill
  • In the Regular size I will have one Midori lightweight refill,  Moniques refill and the wallet insert
