This photo is of home, taken by my dear friend Jack McLeod, who I will be seeing in about five months!

This recycling station is in our local hardware-type store. I guess people take the cable/light bulb/tube to the shop to match to a new one and can then recycle it. According to the WEEE Directive, stores are required to take back packaging and items bought from them, though they try to avoid it. The directive shifted the financial and logistical burden of waste management directly onto the companies that introduce electronic goods to the market.

I rather liked these special effect polishes that you can apply over your varnish for a shimmery look.

Sometimes I really don’t understand art.

I saw this bottle in a second hand shop. I wonder if it is a real Coke Bottle that someone has stretched somehow? It looked real but that cannot be an original Coke item, surely?

Morning Janet
Hope you folk all well. Thanks for the mention and the pic.
I am still on bed with feet up but seeing the Orthopaedic on Monday and hopefully all pins removed and stitches out and hopefully back to being semi mobile again. Been doing the odd shuffle with walker. Am seriously sick and tired of it. Luckily the weather has been cold and rainy for most of the time and is forecast to continue for next 10 days. Most unseasonal.
However, grateful for rain and countryside, whilst muddy and dangerous driving conditions, is beautifully green. Also most unusual for this time of year. Normally dry and brown veld.
Haven’t seen M for ages it seems and miss it. Have been getting updates from Chris and will give her a call again shortly.
Kind regards to you and Jan and look forward to seeing you guys soon.
Best Jack x
