Snapshots from my week

My brother-in-law Justin took this beautiful photo in Port Alfred/Kowie in South Africa. I really miss the blue of the sky in my home country. It was not until I moved to Sweden that I realised how much the lack of golden sun and blue sky affects me.

This unbelievable sand art (I wanted to say ‘sandcastle’ but that word really doesn’t begin to describe this sand rhino. By Supersandman in Morgan’s Bay, South Africa.

Meanwhile in Sweden, the e-scooters do not disappear, even in the winter months. And some stupid idiots STILL cannot walk one metre across the cycle path to park their scooter in the designated parking zone. When heavy snow falls and covers it, that thing will be a tripping hazard.

Visiting a friend round the corner. It was okay walking up this hill, Going down was not so much fun because there is pure ice under that dusting of snow.

I don’t normally decorate my planner much. A sticker here and there, maybe. But right now I am seizing the few glimmers of goodness in my day, because what’s happening outside my little home bubble makes me feel there is no hope for the world. I carry this fun sticker armour with me as I tackle the world of politics as part of my job. There seems to be no hope anywhere.

  1. Left a reply but sadly it was blocked? I lost the text so won’t write it out again. But I love your glitter stickers, I’ve got a few glitter stickers myself just for small bits of joy in my EDC.

    1. Ah, sorry about that. If you have never posted a comment on my blog before, your first post will need to be approved by me. After that you can post whenever you like. Welcome!
