I bought some cat food for the cat basket. In addition to the animal donations, you could also buy sanitary products for those suffering from period poverty. Many girls have to drop out of school because they have no sanitary products, so this is an excellent initiative.
I think this is fantastic. In Germany, we also have boxes for cats and dogs where we can drop some food. I follow a really wonderful woman on X called Nomcebo Mkhaliphi. She lives in Swaziland and she advocates for women’s rights. She posts a lot about how menstruation is normal and she collects period products for girls in her area. Living in a rich country like Germany, it’s not something we would ever have a problem with. I give some classes in a company that has pads and tampons available for free for their female employees in the toilet. I thought this was perfect!
