I needed to see this today.
I think it applies even if the someone you’re missing isn’t another human.
In July last year, our beautiful Golden Retriever girl, Lady Talwyn Fairbrow, suddenly had a seizure, collapsed and died. I had loved her, and she had loved me, since a tiny 5-week-old bundle of golden fuzz landed on my lap for the first time and looked into my eyes.
I’ve been missing her really badly this week for some reason. That “memories sharp enough to slice through skin and bone” just puts it so beautifully.
Oh Paul I am so sorry. Rest in Peace Lady Talwyn Fairbrow. What is grief, but love persevering. My heart aches for you.
It has been a rough couple of years, thanks for this! If you are ever in Nova Scotia, look me up…I love the range of your interests!
wonderful and inspiring ; thank you 🙂
