This gives me the creeps – bathroom blade bank

My previous apartment was built in 1940 and had the original kitchen and bathroom. I moved into the apartment in 1999. I loved my hip-high cast iron bath with ornate feet, but the bathroom cabinet was rather utilitarian. It had a small slit on the back ‘wall’  to which I paid no attention, thinking it was for air circulation, maybe preventing mould from forming behind the cabinet. How wrong I was…it was a slot in which to place used safety razor blades.

When the bathroom was totally renovated in 2009 or so, I was rehoused, so I did not see what they found behind it upon removal. My fingertips are screaming at the horror that was behind that cabinet when it was removed. All the dead skin cells, hairs, blood, and rust lying there, ready to dully slice and infect your finger. Ewww

You can still buy these so-called blade banks
