It was a bit of a tough transition in the beginning, but pocket size has been a success!
I was so used to carrying around a reassuringly thick and solid personal size binder that, in the beginning anyway, it felt weird to have all my bookings, notes, lists, receipts, cards and important papers in such a small format. It felt too thin and light to be functional. My writing was too big to fit comfortably in the small spaces.
But I managed. Everything fits on the page, both work and personal. For example on Monday the region is sending someone to check our apartment (besiktning) before blasting occurs for a new subway line. This means that if damage happens to windows, walls etc during construction, they know it was not there before.
I have also put blue plastic dividers at the back for our South African trip. I almost never use dividers but these separate different lists related to the trip.
I have started carrying spare notepaper in the back wallet pocket for notes on the go. These I then put into the binder in the place they are needed.
I am happy to say that after a few weeks I am so happy with this format and size. It fits everything and is also small enough to take everywhere. As a teacher I constantly have to update my timetable, and also make notes of things to email students, and words to look up. After my bout of covid, I am having (hopefully temporary) trouble with my memory, so writing things down really helps.
Wish those inserts were available in pocket or personal in the US! 😍
They are so nice! My absolute favourites.
And pocket fits in A5 perfectly too.
I’ve been using the pocket size for about thirty years … but I do write very small 😃
