Words of Wisdom

  • don’t trouble trouble until trouble troubles you
  • never regret a day in your life. Good days give happiness, bad days give experience, the worst days give lessons, and the best days give memories.
  • you worry, you die. You don’t worry, you die. So why worry?
  • what matters in life is not how you handle success, but how you handle failure
  • all success is, is getting up one more time than you fall
  • no one ever lies on their deathbed wishing they had spent more time at work
  • celebrate what IS, not what shoulda/coulda/woulda been
  • if someone shows you who they are, believe them
  • fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me
  • sometimes, not getting what you want is the most amazing stroke of luck
  • without rain, we would never appreciate the sun
  • no one ever has a completely happy life. In the end, all the separate happy moments end up as a happy life
  • you can have a new beginning any moment you please
  • avoid hobosexuals – people whose affection for you depends on your ability to provide them with free food and shelter
  • always ask yourself ‘will this matter in two years’. If the answer is no, don’t let it worry you for two minutes
  • be the change you wish to see
  • life the life you have, don’t pine for the one you wish you had
  • sometimes you do things imperfectly because your options are imperfect
  • ‘A bridge of silver wings stretches from the dead ashes of an unforgiving nightmare to the jeweled vision of a life started anew’ (Aberjhani – Life Made Out of Poetry)
  • ‘Dare to love yourself as if you were a rainbow with gold at both ends.’ (Aberjhani – Life Made Out of Poetry)
  • don’t let the fact that you can’t save everyone prevent you from helping. You can help one, even if you cannot help all (see below)
