Just about all the languages I speak (English, Afrikaans, Swedish, Dutch) and understand (German, Danish, Norwegian) are Germanic. The only two I know that are not Germanic are Xhosa and Latin. This makes it easy for me to understand Germanic languages but I am clueless in any of the others. Finno-Urgric languages are well, Greek to me, so to speak!
