By request – Samsonite Laptop Bag

In my comments the other day someone asked what I use to carry my computer.

I have two computers – an HP PC which is a bit heavier than my 15 inch MacBook Pro. I am more inclined to carry my mac just in a normal structured bag where it can’t move around, but I always carry my PC in my laptop bag.

Before I gave it away, this Lin and Leo bag used to hold my laptop.

Now I have a khaki nylon Samsonite laptop bag with orange lining. It has a padded shoulder strap, two backpack straps and two short handles for carrying it in the hand. There are velcro and zipper fastening pockets which hold each of these options when you are not using them. If you so wish you can conceal all the handles so that you can carry the bag under your arm or pack it into a cabin bag. It is also expandable.

Showing shoulder strap – also removable. It has its own little zippered pocket where it is stored when not in use.

I don’t normally like these kinds of bags. But I really like this one. I have, believe it or not, considered using it as a handbag. And coming from me, that is high praise indeed.

  1. Thank you for the post. That seems to be a really versatile bag. Can you also wear it on your shoulder? Do you remember what it is called? Have looked online but cant seem to find anything similar.
    Thanks

    1. I have just added a photo with the shoulder strap. There is an adjustable removable shoulder strap which is nicely padded. When you are not using it, it stores in a little pocket on the side.

I am not sure what it is called to be honest. I will have a look and see if I can find the model name on it. I found it on the sale table and pounced!

  2. Ohh, thank you for the post!! I love it! That’s the type of thing I am looking for, comfortable and at the same time, beautiful.

  3. What an excellent design! I am thankful to not need to carry a laptop but have struggled to find something functional to do so. I have a regular brief case style bag but over the shoulder is awkward, across the body is worse, and in the hand it’s just too heavy!

  4. How versatile! I love it. I am a Khaki/Orange lover (olive green eyes which influence my colour choices – except for the ubiquitous black 🙂 I have always used and liked Samsonite going back to the original rounded lovely three pieces I received in the early/mid 60’s. They still look like new and the colour was Marina Blue – still remember LOL

    1. I have a lovely blue Samsonite case coming up on the blog in a few days. I use it to carry my bigs and pieces around for teaching. It is like a huge handbag on wheels. I am dying to see what you think of it Pat!
