Lockets

I have always loved lockets. My mother had a round silver one with photos of her and her brother in it, and my grandmother had a gold one one of her and her husband. When I turned 12 I received a heart shaped locket from my parents with photos of them in it. My former mother-in-law gave me a beautiful large silver locket for my 40th birthday. I also have a photo ball..

My paternal grandmother’s locket at the top, mine from 1973 on the right, and my mothers silver one on the bottom. Each contains two photographs (see below)

This one shows the one gifted to me by my former mother-in-law (top right). It also contains two photographs. There is a new addition to the left of it…
…this beauty, which I found at a charity shop. It is not expensive or fancy but I just had to have it…
…because it contained a photograph of a woman who someone loved enough to put in this locket. Someone’s mother, wife, daughter, or grandmother. I just couldn’t leave her there. I had to give her a new home.
