This was an absolutely wonderful surprise from one of the groups I teach. I had been teaching them weekly for about 18 years when budget changes meant they could not longer have English lessons. They had seen all my binders and notebooks over the years and heard me burbling excitedly about my flea market bargain Louis Vuitton Agenda. For our last ever lesson, they gave me this. Isn’t it beautiful?
My gorgeous gift was tied up with a ribbon and had a little gift card. Inside the box was this beauty in a dustbag. It has silver gilt page edges, matching embossing, and the elastic closure has a LV charm on it. The endpapers and bookmark are burgundy and the white lined paper is thing with Louis Vuitton watermarking.

I am too scared to use it!
I think it’s perfectly reasonable not to use it, and just to take it out periodically and drool over it!
That’s a lovely gift! But… weekly English lessons for 18 years? Really? I bet they were more than fluent!
If not fluent, at least not worse than they were when they started, ha ha!
I hope so! I can’t see how they could not be fluent after all these years. It only took me four years to be fluent in French and take/pass all my exams in French.
