I have very few email subscriptions. Those I do have are for things like special offers from my favourite shops. And there is this one – Word Daily.
Each day you are sent an email with details about an unusual word. Some of them I know, but most of them are new to me. They are words I would never use, and which I forget almost immediately. But I love them and enjoy seeing a new one in my mailbox every day. See more here. I also used to subscribe to A Phrase A Day, which emailed a new idiom each day. Though that one disappeared long ago.
