Love & Plums is my favourite Body Shop shower product of all time. I love their pear-smelling Christmas products, and also British Rose from their regular collection. But this one beats them all by a mile.
In 2021, Body Shop had a full Love & Pear range for Christmas. This year there only seems to be shower gel. At Christmas time there are loads of offers though – Black Friday, Christmas Sales, Gift Bundles. So I usually get a couple. Shower gel is something I will always use.
Body Shop and Lush are my two favourite places for shower gel. Regarding Lush, there are only two shower products I like – Rose Jam and Grass – because their other offerings are way too strong-smelling for me. But with Body Shop I like Strawberry, Coconut, Mango, Olive, British Rose, and several others. You only need to use a small amount, they smell natural, and they don’t dry your skin. Cheaper ranges can be good at cleaning you, but the smells are either watered down or artificial, and they can be very drying.
I also like the smell of that shower gel. I never shop at Body Shop as I find the INCI lists of their products contain not so good ingredients.
However I enjoy the (artificial) smell of some products which remind me the cheap products I used to buy when I was a teenager. I find it very regressive to step in a Body Shop and smell their iconic products.
The only ones I would buy are the Hemp handcream, the White Musk perfume (which I sometimes spray on my bedding) and the Love & Pear shower gel.
Lush was also a great favourite of mine many years ago but I find the smells too strong and too distinctive.
