I changed from a personal size ring organiser to a pocket size about nine months ago, and it has been a resounding success. It was really hard in the beginning to downsize after a decade in personal size, particularly as I carry a lot of my work in my planner. But I did it and it has worked brilliantly. Light, less bulky and more portable.
I did find that 15mm rings were quite small for all I needed in my planner. And I missed being in a Van der Spek Binder. About seven months ago I made a list of things I would like in a dream pocket binder. Just a few scribbles and notes. No sketch, nothing.
Petra took that small amount of information in my scribbly handwriting, ran with it, and knocked it out of the park as usual.
- pebbly undyed Janet Leather
- square corners and clasp
- gold hardware
- double poppers
- large rings
- secretarial pockets
- full length back wallet pocket
- external slip pockets front and back
- ring protectors
I am so thrilled with this. I have been using a Hobonichi Weeks cover in Janet Leather for 18 months now and I am so happy to have a binder in matching leather. The first mark is always hard but I cannot wait to watch it age and develop patina over time.
