I have noticed that, as the years pass, there seems to be less and less urban space for pedestrians.
As we walked to the shops today, the sidewalks we used were made even narrower by outside restaurant seating to the left of us and bicycle parking to the right of us. The very narrow remaining space we were able to use was also being used by e-scooters and bicycles, despite the fact that they have their own lanes. If two people walked abreast, no one could pass. How much more difficult must it be for people using wheelchairs or prams?
