The Plimoth Plantation is a living history museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Founded in 1947, it attempts to replicate the original settlement of the Plymouth Colony established in the 17th century by the English colonists who became known as the Pilgrims.
The Plimoth Plantation museum shop offers yarn made from the wool of the Plimoth Plantation sheep, hand dyed with the same processes and names as during the Plimoth Plantation days. Produced by Harrisville Designs, colours were chosen based on what was period correct in the 17th century.

I was/am/will always be a die-hard fan of the British 1970s sci-fi show Blake’s 7. The actor Gareth Thomas, who played the eponymous lead character Blake, was inclined when reminiscing about the show, to describe the boots his character wore as “goose turd green”. This yarn immediately called that to my mind.
