One of my favourite Etsy sellers, Jerome Philippe of Atelier Philippe on Etsy sources his leather from, among others, famous French tannery HAAS, which has clients such as Hermès, Chanel, Longchamp, Louis Vuitton and Bottega Veneta. He uses mainly Hermès offcuts to produce his notebook covers, keyrings and pouches.
I have several of Jerome’s covers in tan Togo, tan Barenia, and now orange Epsom leather. His leather is divine (I am in love with Barenia), his prices are reasonable, he does custom orders (very quickly with outstanding customer service – he keeps in touch every step of the way), and he is fast, with quick shipping. This one is very simple, very hardy and the leather is out of this world. Absolutely perfect and very durable. It is also lined with the same leather. I have always loved orange Epsom, but of course the Hermès Birkin above, in orange Epsom, is way out of my price range.
For this cover I am using orange inserts with black and orange card covers, from YellowPaperHouse on Etsy, where Donna is always happy to advise on colourways and suitable covers for your inserts. I think I am their best customer!
And these are Jerome’s photographs.
