Ben Strange always has lovely goodies on eBay but I tend to snipe too low. Lady Luck must have been with me last night because I won this beauty. My only Norman Hill thus far. Thanks to a little bird that alerted me to this gem, it is now on its way into my sweaty paws.
All the photos as well as the description below belong to Ben. A review and more photos to follow when it arrives.
Thank you Ben!
This is a lovely example of a pre-1980’s filofax organiser in black Morocco grade leather.
Norman and Hill Ltd was the original company producing the Filofax brand organiser from 1921 until 1980 in England.
This is stamped with a product code of: 2P.E.201 1/2″.
It has a full height secretarial pocket inside each cover and 1/2 inch diameter rings. The covers are fairly rigid construction and not “floppy”
The leather is in very good condition with just a couple of small marks and indentations from being pressed against the rings that can be seen in the photos.
Fits Personal size filofax refills pages.
The rings are good with just very tiny gaps in the bottom rings that are barely noticeable and doesn’t affect its use as pages still turn without snagging.
This is from my own personal collection and had been well looked after.
