  1. I loved this , Janet. We had a blue moon on Friday night. It is nothing to do with the colour apparently, just an astronomical term for a rare moon, ie one that is the third out of four in a quarter, the point being that most quarters have three. This was the first in three years. I love stuff like this. It’s strange how many of these old sayings, “old saws” as we say in Devon, include a colour comparison.
