HM has come out with some nice collaborations – I loved the Stella McCartney one (the jeans were gorgeous), the Viktor & Rolf one (just for the wedding gown. What amazing reverse snobbery – a Viktor and Rolf wedding gown by HM!) and the Jimmy Choo one (lovely black leather handbags). Was not overwhelmed by any of the others, I am afraid. Though I did love Mulberry for Target (got a terrycloth Roxanne) and Missoni for Lindex (bought a wrap dress).
One I am really looking forward to and fear I may want to queue from the crack of dawn to get in, is the Isabel Marant/HM collaboration, launching 14 November. I love Marant jeans, trousers and boots. She is very chic but hip at the same time. She manages to combine biker, boho, ethnic and tailoring without it looking like a mess. Only far too expensive for me at her normal price point.
Here are my picks from the HM Isabel Marant collection. Unfortunately they will almost certainly be the first to disappear (only to reappear on eBay at vastly inflated prices….)
