Beautiful gift – part 1

A few weeks ago a faithful and beloved blog reader contacted me and asked me if I would like a David Bowie colouring book. As I have written about adult colouring books before and as I am a huge David Bowie fan, I said ‘ooh yes please’

Well, the parcel arrived last week and it was ENORMOUS!

Part of the parcel consisted of TWO David Bowie colouring books. I really like this because it gives me room for error. I am left handed and have never been good at colouring so if I mess one up, I can try the other.

I really love this book as a) it has facts and information about Bowie on each page and b)I can really try to reproduce the colours etc in the original photographs and c)I should manage these – particularly the writing, if I am careful! I just need to figure out what type of pen/pencil is most suitable.

To DannyL thank you so very very very much for this. I love it!

  1. I loved David Bowie’s style, he was such a gorgeous specimen. Also loved his constant metamorphosis. He was a legend who died and became a constellation. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for this colouring book.

    1. He was gorgeous indeed! And his style is just as relevant today as he was then. I had a vintage Bowie t shirt on today and a teenager stopped me and asked me where I got it because they wanted one too!

  2. I just love how David Bowie is the perfect subject for colouring, especially when referencing his 70’s era. Plus: he was sooooo gorgeous. Plus-plus: colouring his eyes is a challenge.

    1. I didn’t think of the eyes – or his hair actually! They are going to be a challenge. Imagine his brightly coloured jumpsuit too!
