T shirts are supposed to be simple: a wardrobe basic, a staple, something that cannot go wrong, something you can find anywhere. But they CAN go wrong. The sleeves can be an awkward length, the neckline too high or scoopy or floppy, the length too long or too short. They can be too thin, too thick, too clingy, see-through and end up misshapen with twisty seams after one wash. Price or brand is not always an indication of quality either.
I have a small selection of t shirts that fit perfectly, but I had to kiss a lot of frogs, so to speak, to find them. I buy in multiples and cherish them because I know I will never find them again. I recently rebought one of my favourite Cubus t-shirts, only to find they had changed the neckline and that the seams no longer sat on my shoulders. I ended up adjusting the t shirt all day.
This one is my favourite this summer. It is by Morgan de Toi. One of my clients bought one in Brussels and I loved the print and the feel of the cloth so much I bought one for myself. The fit is perfect (I have a M) and I can wear it for work under a jacket or casually with jeans. The model is 261-djojo-31957863. It washes brilliantly and I am now looking for a black one with white cord.
