Icy lake

My brother-in-law turned a photo of us into a ‘painting’. Interestingly, the person behind us was holding a skate in his hands, but the program turned it into a mug or phone.

I took this photograph of Lake Mälaren in late summer, to the right (out of frame) is the Baltic Sea, accessed via a lock

This was last Saturday, after the past weeks’ cold weather (-15°C the day we were there)

There were long-distance skaters, skaters, cyclists, baby carriages, and walkers on the ice. Kind of scary because most people did not have safety equipment (ice picks/awls, waterproof bag with dry clothes, whistle, rope, ice pole). The day after I took this, three people went through the ice.
