Cow Sauce? No thank you

I remember seeing Kosås beauty products advertised a couple of years ago and having a chuckle because Kosås means Cow Sauce in Sweden. It’s natural for words to mean different things in different languages but it sounded rather arrogant when the design studio behind it lauded the name as for its international sound that universally reflected the client’s desire to incorporate both art and science in a unique name that didn’t hold a meaning in any language before its creation. Surely their design partner had Google?

I saw recently that they have changed their name to Kosas
