A day’s wanderings

This watermelon soap (!) at Lush looked gorgeous. I love watermelon colours (watermelon tourmaline is one of my favourite stones) and I used to love watermelon as well. Unfortunately I ate fermenting watermelon once many years ago and ended up really sick, so I cannot face eating it anymore. I still love the colours though.

I also loved these ‘carrots’ at lunch. Their product presentation is always outstanding. I bought Honey I Washed The Kids shower gel, Sakura shower gel, and stocked up on Rose Jam shower gel. They are pricey but you only need a little and with the world we are living in, you have to take small pleasures when you can.

I loved this ‘hippy style’ tin (also at Lush). My cousin and her husband travel around South Africa in their old-style VW van and seeing one always makes me think of them.

I have had a sinus infection over the past week and as I was despondently trudging home one grey day, I spotted this little cluster of snowdrops, all alone in our local park. They really cheered me up because spring cannot be too far behind now.

I found these make-up spectacles at Lidl. The only other ones I have ever seen had flip-up lenses. I have bad eyesight but I use a Tweezerman lighted mirror to apply makeup. I wonder if these would work as well, seeing as you can see out of only one eye at a time?

I love the bags from a local patisserie. It’s a really lovely touch to a lunch purchase.

I wonder what this exhibition is about? Not sure I want to know!
