South African beauty products

When I travel to South Africa, I make a list of my favourite beauty products, and stock up on them when I see them. They can be heavy, but it is way worth it when I get back to Sweden.

I love African Extracts Rooibos products. They work well, smell nice, and cost about $5 each. I also like products made particularly for curly and coily hair. There is a wide range at low prices and they really do work.

I do enjoy the local Simply Bee, Africology, Kalahari, Environ and Placecol skincare products.

  • Two Sages Rosewater shower gel (handmade by a friend)
  • Two Sages Rosewater Toner
  • Iwori Marula Oil Shampoo (South Africa has great products for curly hair)
  • Iwori Marula Conditioner
  • Charlotte Rhys (South African products often found in hotels. The Ginger and Lime smells incredible)
  • Africology Intense Hydration Night Treatment (contains Rooibos, Marula, African Potato and Aloe Vera)
  • Annafella Lush Plush Cream (also made by a friend)

  • African Extracts Rooibos Advantage Creamy Cleanser
  • African Extracts Rooibos Advantage Soothing Cleansing Lotion
  • African Extracts Rooibos Refreshing Toner
  • African Extracts Rooibos Micellar Water
  • African Extracts Rooibos Hydrating Cream Face Wash
  • African Extracts Cleansing Facial Wipes

I also love Simply Bee products. This time I bought

  • Cleansing cream
  • Honey Hydrating Facial Mask
  • Lip Balm

  1. Love these products. The shower gel and facial wipes look awesome. Would love a pack of each to try. Send details how to obtain 1 of each.

    1. When you are in SA the African Extracts is stocked everywhere, so make sure to buy a couple! The rose shower gel comes from Two Sages in Bathurst.
