Harsh truths about life

Taken in Aberdeen South Africa. A 48°C day with no shake and no shop open to buy water
  • some people will use you until you are no longer useful
  • your job will never love you back
  • you may not be your best friend’s best friend
  • no one is coming to save you from yourself
  • wherever you go, there you are
  • your health is your greatest wealth
  • whatever you do, people will judge you
  • one day you will run out of days
  • one day you will look back wish you had started xxx today
  • today is the youngest you will ever be
  • some people you love will never love you back
  • more and more every day, you cannot trust social media
  • as you get older, people will use your age as an insult

I think the greatest lessons life has taught me are

  • nothing is black and white, just different shades of grey
  • not to care what people think

  1. These are very true and we have also seen in recent years (even pre-dating tRump) that the MSM is leaning ever further to the far right. Following the teachings of Goerring (tell a lie so big that everyone knows it is a lie but keep telling it until it becomes the truth) has become the watchword of the 21st century Fascist.
