How baby owls sleep

Juvenile owls often sleep face down because their heads are too heavy for them to sleep on a perch.

  1. Thank you so much for the fun fact about baby owls sleeping habits (not to mention the fun pic). I would have thought the owl was injured had I come across it. I know owls are seen as nocturnal in most parts of the world but some are not. I love your posts as they are always entertaining as well as most of them being informative. I know that homo sapiens has been around for the longest time but how long there has been a presence in different areas is not so well documented.

  2. When I first saw this picture, I laughed out loud because the young owl mimicked a person passed out from tippling a wee bit too much. I must say that, regardless, the owl is too d**n cute for words!

Janet, thank you for making my weekend a bit brighter with this cute pic! Not to mention the info that I can add to my arsenal of trivia!
