During July, we went on a long (1300km) road trip to see family in the south of Sweden. Given that we live in the city, it is always lovely for me to experience the glorious Swedish countryside in the summer. I am originally from a small town and so is my husband. I am not sure I would be able to go back to living in one, but they are sure nice to visit.

Thank you for sharing these beautiful images of summer in southern Sweden … vibrant, serene, inviting. Related to everything you said in your post. We are in very bizarre times. So good to have you back.
I’m glad you’re back! I hope you were able to rest and re-charge.
You take beautiful photographs.
It’s lovely to have you back. I grew up in a small town in Fife, Scotland. Last time I went back there it had grown into a large town which deserves city status and this is due in no minor fact to the expansion of the surrounding areas thanks to an airport (previously a lowly airfield for small aircraft). I currently live in the city I was born in (in England’s North East) but I do miss being close to family.
The Swedish countryside is really lovely! When I was living in England, I was working in a busy city (not London!) and I was longing for some peace and quiet. I now live in the German countryside and it’s too quiet and austere for me… It would be nice to live in something in between! So happy to see you back!
Thank you Eva. So happy to be back!
So good to see you back in my inbox! Great pics! I hope you got home refreshed and relaxed. Donna
I am. Thank you very much for all the encouragement and support.
