I watched an episode of Friends recently (there are reruns every evening) and spotted this very striking necklace on Phoebe.
I loved it because used to wear a lot of dramatic jewellery, such as this necklace from Kenneth Jay Lane, which I used to wear over black poloneck jumpers.

These days though, I tend to stick to simple chains. I am not sure why, because my clothes tend to be very plain and could cope with large costume jewellery. Maybe they are just easier.
